The Leven House is a very comfortable family home set in its own spacious grounds with magnificent views of mountains and lochs.

It is ideal for a relaxing break or as a base for hill walking, touring Ardnamurchan or cruising expeditions to explore the adjacent islands.

Winter view from the bedrooms

Offering artists many varied and unique subjects and settings, there are numerous tracks and paths for walkers of all abilities throughout the surrounding countryside and seashores. It is only a ten minute walk to Prince's Beach and the Atlantic Ocean where the remains of a vitrified fort can be found; fifty minutes will take you to the hill top where the view is truly magnificent, taking in mountain, loch and sea. The panorama here extends north to the Isle of Skye and the Cullins, west to the small isles of Eigg, Muck and Rhum, south to Ardnamurchan Point - the most westerly point of the British mainland - and east to the Roshven range of mountains and on a clear day, Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain.

Red Deer frequent the adjoining fields and woods.Seals are a common sight along the sea - shore & other visitors include foxes, badgers, otters, pine martins and eagles.

Summer view from the bedrooms

There are daily sailings to the small isles of Eigg, Muck and Rum from Arisaig, with frequent sightings of whales, porpoises, and dolphins. From Mallaig (11 miles) a vehicle ferry runs frequently to the Isle of Skye and during summer months, daily passenger sailings to Rhum, Canna, Kyle of Lochalsh and the Knoydart Penisula. The ferry to Mull and Iona is a beautiful two hour drive around Loch Moidart, Sunart and over the Morven range.

For golf enthusiasts, arguably the most scenic nine hole course in Britain is to be found  five miles away at Traigh.
